** Important Notice from the NJTPD Records Division **

 


The NJ TRANSIT Police Department Records Division maintains and provides information and report copies to police officers, federal and state agencies, and to the general public.

The Records Division is also responsible for processing vehicle releases.

REPORT REQUESTS

Individuals may request a copy of a NJ TRANSIT Police Department reports via EMAIL.

Be advised that report processing may take five to ten business days before they are available for release.

TO REQUEST A REPORT VIA EMAIL
To submit a report request VIA EMAIL, send an email to [email protected] and provide the following information:

   Your name
   A valid phone number where we can reach you.
   Report number (if known)
   Date of incident
   Copy of Valid Government Photo Identification.
 

VEHICLE RELEASE
The following documents are required for vehicle release:

    Driver License
    Registration
    Insurance.
