The Police Records, Information Technology Unit and Intelligence Unit collects, files, and enters coded data into a central database to satisfy both internal and external reporting requirements. Crime trends, modus operandi, and a variety of investigative reports are prepared for detectives, district commanders, and police officials. The unit posts this crime analysis at the beginning of each month detailing the reported crime from the previous month. Crime statistic reports are published regularly on this website. Internal affairs statistics from the previous calendar year can be found as well as current persons of interest wanted for assaults on protected NJ Transit employees.
