** Important Notice from the NJTPD Records Division **
Due to COVID-19, no records requests will be provided or fulfilled in person. All records requests will be fulfilled digitally. To obtain a document, email NJTPDRECORDS@NJTRANSIT.COM and include:
- The case number or event number
- A photograph of your identification
The NJ TRANSIT Police Department Records Division maintains and provides information and report copies to police officers, federal and state agencies, and to the general public.
The Records Division is also responsible for processing vehicle releases.
Individuals may request a copy of a NJ TRANSIT Police Department reports via EMAIL.
Phone requests for records will not be honored.
Be advised that report processing may take five to ten business days before they are available for release.
TO REQUEST A REPORT VIA EMAIL
To submit a report request VIA EMAIL, send an email to NJTPDRECORDS@NJTRANSIT.COM and provide the following information:
Address where you live and would like the report sent to
A valid phone number where we can reach you.
Report number (if known)
Date of incident
Name of victim and suspect
Copy of Valid Government Photo Identification.
