The NJ TRANSIT Police Department's Detective Division carries out a wide array of responsibilities and operations. Detectives obtain and execute search warrants, conduct surveillance of suspicious persons and activities, interview victims and witnesses, interrogate suspects and actors in crimes, secure and manage a crime scene, provide case preparation and testimony for prosecution, gather and provide law enforcement intelligence, and identify, collect and analyze physical evidence and property.
