Patrol Captain

Captain Frank Castellano is the afternoon Patrol Captain for the NJ Transit Police Dept. He supervises patrol operations for the NJ Transit Police Department during the afternoon and evening hours.

Captain Castellano joined the NJ Transit Police Department in 2002 after working both as a Seasonal Police Officer for the Mantoloking Police Department and a State Corrections Officer for the Juvenile Justice Commission. Captain Castellano started his career with the NJ Transit Police assigned to the Patrol Division working in Districts 5,6,7 in Trenton, Camden, and Atlantic City. In 2008, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and worked in District 2 Newark and then Districts 5 Trenton, and District 7 Atlantic City. In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and worked as a Tour Commander in the Central Communications Center and then District 3 and 4 in Hoboken and Secaucus. In 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Captain.

Captain Castellano holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton University and a Masters Degree in Human Resources Training and Development from Seton Hall University. He is the recipient of two unit citation awards and graduated from Ocean County Police Academy's 73rd Class and the Juvenile Justice Commissions Corrections Officer Training Academy in Sea Girt, NJ.
