Captain Frank Castellano is the Commanding Officer of Transit District 5, 6 and 7 in Trenton, Camden and Atlantic City for the NJ TRANSIT Police Department. He directs and controls all daily Police Operations for these locations.
Captain Castellano joined the NJ Transit Police Department in 2002 after working both as a Seasonal Police Officer for the Mantoloking Police Department and a State Corrections Officer for the Juvenile Justice Commission. Captain Castellano started his career with the NJ Transit Police assigned to the Patrol Division working in Districts 5,6,7 in Trenton, Camden, and Atlantic City. In 2008, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and worked in District 2 Newark and then Districts 5 Trenton, and District 7 Atlantic City. In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and worked as a Tour Commander in the Central Communications Center and then District 3 and 4 in Hoboken and Secaucus. In 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Captain. As Patrol Captain, he supervised patrol operations for the NJ Transit Police Department. In 2021, Captain Castellano was assigned as the Commanding Officer of Transit District 5, 6, and 7 in Trenton, Camden, and Atlantic City.
Captain Castellano holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton University and a Masters Degree in Human Resources Training and Development from Seton Hall University. He is the recipient of two unit citation awards and graduated from Ocean County Police Academy's 73rd Class and the Juvenile Justice Commissions Corrections Officer Training Academy in Sea Girt, NJ.
